This time’s creation is generally a simple machine in the field of metallurgy but it is necessary for processing aluminium and iron sheets. The particular machine is used to shape the metal sheets moulding the metal and shrinking some of its parts by pressing two metallic wheels. The making of this particular machine has not been generally changed for many years now. We mainly have a metallic shape like the letter ‘C’ which has two metallic wheels in its two sides. The wheel on the top is straight while the wheel at the bottom is called anvil wheel and it is chosen and changed according to the declination that we want to have on our sheet metal.
To save money, we chose a difficult way of making our machine as we bended a metallic beam upn 16cm wide, 6.5 cm tall and 390 cm long in the shape of ‘C’. On the top surface of the ‘C’, we put a wheel made by stainless steel of 8cm width and 20cm diameter.
On this wheel, we placed two ball bearings that enable the wheel to roll smoothly and comfortably. On the bottom surface of the ‘C’, we made a basis, on which the anvil wheels are located and these wheels are going up and down supported by a screw that we made on the lathe and it spins with a wheel. This wheel regulates the pressure exerted on the metal sheet that we use to process between the two wheels.
To conclude, our machine is 220cm tall and it can easily process even big pieces. Also, we put the ‘C’ on a stable basis in order to have a good and stable support avoiding any vibrations. It is with great pleasure that we made this machine as now, we are able to make pieces for machines, cars and generally many pieces that we could not make before having it. In this way, the structure with the number 0081 has been successfully completed.
