More info on the project
The project 0152 is the construction of an unusual tool of battery which we thought to try it if it is useful.
Therefore, we made a device that vibrates and on which various tools are adapted in order to make our life easier for various tasks. Firstly, we started taking a motor from an old ABS car brake system which works with 12v. On this motor we applied a metallic camshaft as a result when the motor spins, it produces vibration.
Following this, we applied a motor on a piece of aluminum that was processed on the lathe.
On the frontal part we placed magnets in order to be able to apply the tool on metallic surfaces easily. Also, on the frontal part we created a thread on which various tools can be screwed. We made another similar base with the same characteristics at the side of our tool, 90 degrees away from the other base. In this way, we have the opportunity to put the tool both vertically and horizontically and transfer the vibration vertically or horizontically to the object according to the outcome that we want to achieve.
On the upper part of the tool we made a plastic base where we can place a lithium battery. Also, we have put a button that activates and deactivates the device. We have tried our device for many tasks that we thought it would be useful. Furthermore, we placed a tile on concrete and by vibration we urged it to reach the proper point precisely as well as the vibration enabled the concrete to reach equally all the spots of a mould without capturing any bubbles. Yet, we tried to remove the trapped pieces of iron plate after cutting them on a cnc plasma cut on the iron plate. This was a great success as all the useless pieces removed in a great speed. In another trial, we put a metallic brush at the frontal part and with the help of vibration we removed the old oils that were stuck on parts of the lathe as a result the cleaning was easier. Also, in a third trial, we put a pad at the frontal part of the tool, on which we placed sandpaper to rub various surfaces like wood and metal.
The restriction to use this tool is only the user’s imagination and how far he can use it. Regarding its better function, we are aware that a lot of things can be modified like the eccentric weight, the size of the eccentric’s move, the weight of the tool, the power of the motor, the shape and many other elements so that the tool can become more functional.
All in all, we are very pleased that we presented our idea so that one day this tool can be released at the market.
