The hydraulic jack is a widely known tool that has various applications. Besides lifting cars; it can be also used for lifting heavy objects. This plays an important role in how the machine will work. Having this in our mind, this video presents the expansion of a normal jack which makes it more useful for making various machines or lifting particular objects.
Initially, we took a common 6 tonnes jack reaching a route of 50cm. The jack from the factory was originally 20cm long and it has maximum opening at 38cm. After our intervention, its initial size is 53cm while its maximum opening is 103cm.
Using the lathe, we made a longer hydraulic cylinder and a corresponding piston rod. Therefore, it was unavoidable not to also extent the external tube of the jack which is also the oil tank. In this way, these three pieces were connected the one with the other like they were connected at the first place.
Following this simple procedure we have finished our creation with the number 0122. Even if it is simple, it has many applications but it is an affordable solution to make many other creations in the future.
